Practice Circle: Sensing Sacred Unity

A Practice Circle is a closed group that meets via Zoom once a week for between six to eight consecutive weeks. Each weekly gathering is facilitated and goes for an hour and a half. In practice circles we engage in contemplative practice together, cultivating harmony of being by attuning to and aligning with the Presence of Spirit and ‘the sound of the genuine’ within us and between us.

When: Feb 28 – Apr 11, 2024
Where: Online via Zoom
Facilitator: Philippa Ranby
Cost: Koha/Dana (Guide: $5 - $10 per gathering)

Focusing texts:  Mystical Courage & Heartfulness

Contemplation is a state of being in which we directly sense and abide in the Living Presence of the One Love. It isn’t a state of being we achieve but rather a grace that we receive.

In this practice circle, we’ll engage in a somatic meditation practices that help prepare us to receive such grace by consciously engaging and balancing our three centres of intelligence - sensation, emotion, and thought - and refining our sense perception.

We’ll be drawing on Cynthia Bourgeault’s book Mystical Courage, which includes selected contemplative exercises by G.I. Gurdjieff, and Robert Sardello’s book Heartfulness, which includes contemplative meditations to attune to our awakened heart. You don’t need a copy of either book to participate in this Practice Circle.

Participants will receive a Zoom invitation that will be their link to the seven Practice Circle meetings and will be encouraged to join each meeting at 7:55am for an 8:00am start.
