Workshops & Retreats
Workshops
Workshops are formats of integral learning for engaging with Wisdom teachings and practice and exploring how these can be integrated into your life.
Workshops are also for clarifying effective practice when offering therapy and supervision.
Workshops usually take place over the course of a day, or consecutive days, and include teaching periods, philosophical, creative and body-based inquiries, plus wider and smaller group discussions. They also include opportunities for both personal reflection and interpersonal exchange, the shared wisdom of the group being key in developing insight and understanding.

Workshop: Real Self-Care for Therapists II
October 18, 2024 | Christchurch
The features of effective therapy - attunement, empathy, and insight – are all dependent on our capacity to be affected by the presence and experience of another person. How we care for ourselves so that we experience and embody this capacity as an asset rather than a liability is the guiding inquiry of this workshop.
Retreats
Retreats are opportunities to withdraw from your daily rhythm so you can bring a sustained attention to your heart and soul.
They’re founded on Wisdom teachings and centre harmony of being, receptivity to Spirit, and personal and collective presence.
Retreats can vary from a day to five days, and usually involve the elements of silence, meditation, prayer, rest, conscious embodiment, artmaking, communing with nature, and teaching periods. The balance of elements depends on the duration, focus and shape of the retreat.

I will be forever changed because of this workshop and that is in large part due to the quality of Pip's presence and her skillset - her passion, compassion, awareness, insightfulness and ability to hold space.

I’ve found Pip’s workshops immensely valuable, nourishing, resourcing and informative. I’ve learned how to connect in with a deeper, more embodied, and heart-centred presence. This has enabled me to be more effective and feel more fulfilled in my work as an arts therapist.

After attending Pip’s workshop I’ve been reflecting on the deep connection I experienced through the practices, creative connection and open discussion. I’m grateful for the practical accessibility of the way Pip teaches - it enables me to cultivate my own connection to presence.
